On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Tishk International University’s Career Development Center (CDC)/, DOS, in collaboration with the Departments of Computer Engineering and Civil Engineering, and sponsored by the iCenter,, organized a seminar and an exciting competition for Tishk International University staff. The event took place in the Education Building, Hall #302, starting at 3:00 PM.
The seminar, led by Dr. Abubakr Ashiru, focused on the timely topic of “AI Challenges in the Academic Field.” Dr. Ashiru’s insightful presentation explored the integration of artificial intelligence into academia, addressing both the opportunities and challenges it presents for educators and students.
As part of the event, a fun and interactive general knowledge competition was held using Kahoot!, offering a lively and engaging atmosphere for all staff members. The quiz was open to everyone, with multiple-choice questions designed to test knowledge in various areas.
In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this event highlighted the importance of fostering innovation and digital literacy in the academic community, contributing to sustainable educational practices and research.
The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Mr. Shallaw Hamza was awarded the grand prize of a MacBook for his impressive performance, while Mr. Ahmad Ameer and Mr. Omar Azad secured second and third places, respectively. After the competition, the event concluded with a refreshing break, offering light refreshments and an opportunity for staff to network and discuss the seminar topic.
